| Our speaker for our June 7th meeting is BRENDAN SHEA a member of the Ohio State School Board, District 10, Green and Clark counties. And we will also have District 52 Rep. Jennifer Gross who will update us on education bills in the Ohio House. Shea is in the middle of his 4 yr. term and he is a very important voice for conservatives. From an article in the Dayton Daily News in 2020, when Shea was a candidate for State School Board: “Shea said he’s heard from families who are concerned about Planned Parenthood sex education programs in schools, religious liberty issues and eventually a rush to require COVID-19 vaccination. “I’m a parent myself … and I want to bring the voice of a concerned parent who wants to be engaged and wants to have a say,” he said. “One who certainly doesn’t want to be forced to do something that truly violates a deeply held belief.”’ That was 2 yrs ago and anyone who saw our movie last night, “Whose Children are They?”, realizes it’s worse now. He’s learned a lot about Ohio education since then and it will be interesting to hear what he has to say. |

| We want to introduce the tea party to Niel Petersen of Dayton who is running as an Independent candidate for Governor this November. He’s a dynamic speaker and we hope to have him speak to us soon. His Lt. Gov. candidate is Mike Stewart and they pastor a Dayton church together. More information to follow. In the meantime, Niel and Mike are in a parade tomorrow that you might want to attend. |
