PUBLIC BEING SILENCED BY SCHOOL BOARD Many of you may not realize that the school board has gone from having two public comment periods DURING the regular board meeting to now having “listening sessions” (public comments) BEFORE the board meeting, with NO microphones for the board or the public, with NO school videotaping for the public and in the East Freshman building cafeteria at 5:30pm when it’s difficult for parents who are working to be there and speak! Also, President Lynda O’Connor hasn’t been summarizing the public comments at the beginning of the regular board meeting which she should be doing. Because of this, the public has no idea what comments have been made. COME TO THE MEETINGS AND DEMAND THAT THE PUBLIC IS NOT SILENCED. https://www.lakotaonline.com/about/board/meetings |
CALL SPEAKER JASON STEPHENS NOW – TODAY!!! “Protecting Our Families” is a priority of Ohio’s 135th General Assembly. Unborn babies are family members — ask any mother who has seen the ultrasound of her unborn child. Pro-abortion rights groups (with funding from outside Ohio) are working to place an Ohio Constitution Amendment on the 2023 General Election Ballot that would, in effect, reinstate Roe v Wade in Ohio allowing abortion up to birth. Currently voters could adopt this Amendment by a simple majority (50% + 1 vote). If you want to know about the Pro-abortion amendment, visit website: www.protectwomendayton.com The Ohio Senate (April 19) voted 26 to 7 on SJR #2 that will authorize a Special Election in August for voters to decide whether amending the Ohio Constitution will require a 60% vote, not just a mere majority. We need the Ohio House to do the same thing. Please call Ohio House Speaker Jason Stephens’ office, 614-466-1366, and say: “Hello, this is __________. Please tell Speaker Stephens that I called and requested that he put HJR #1 before the House members for them to vote on. Thank you.” The Ohio Constitution is not a plaything. Amending it should require more than 50%. Amending the U.S. Constitution requires 75%! 60% is a reasonable percentage. In this case unborn babies’ lives may depend on the 60% threshold. 60% will help keep the Ohio Constitution from being frivolously amended on other issues as well. You may email Rep. Jason Stephens at: rep93@ohiohouse.gov Comments welcome. Thank you! Randy Kleine, Milford, OH 513-476-4712 cell/text |
