MAY 6 PRIMARY – VOTE NO ISSUE 2

THERE ARE TWO ISSUES ON THE MAY 6 PRIMARY BALLOT – ISSUE 2 AND THE LIBRARY LEVY! CONSIDER VOTING NO ON BOTH OF THESE!
“The SHOCKING Truth Behind Ohio’s May Primary Ballot” VIDEO by Mark Pukita – 6.5 minutes. Pukita questions why this money is being raised outside of the Ohio budget process. Mark’s website: https://www.gfiohio.com/

ARGUMENT AGAINST: ISSUE 2
Prepared by the Ohio Ballot Board

Issue 2 allows the state to issue more general obligation bonds, increasing indebtedness to pay for public infrastructure capital improvements. As a result, all Ohio taxpayers will be paying interest on those bonds to cover local government projects including roads, bridges, waste water treatment systems, water supply systems, solid waste disposal facilities and storm water and sanitary collection, storage and treatment facilities.
These are community-based projects from which many Ohioans may not see a direct benefit and which local governments should prioritize and pay for using locally-raised dollarsIssue 2 represents an increase in the amount of borrowed money and spending on local infrastructure as compared to previous years, now totaling 2.5 billion dollars
Though the newly issued bonds will pay for projects over the next decade, it may take up to three times that long to pay them back as outlined in the full text of House Joint Resolution 8, which placed Issue 2 on the ballot: “Each issue of obligations issued under this section shall mature in not more than thirty years from the date of issuance, or, if issued to retire or refund other obligations, within that number of years from the date the debt being retired or refunded was originally issued.
”Vote NO on Issue 2.”

WHY WE OPPOSE ISSUE 2
Typically local communities raise local taxes to pay their local bills, (i.e. infrastructure such as water, sewer, local road improvements etc.) If issue 2 passes our Ohio Constitution will be amended and it will require the rest of us to pay for other communities local infrastructure bills. Issue 2 will saddle us with a debt to the tune of 2.5 Billion.
Our lawmakers were elected to plan and oversee the state’s budget process; full hearings in the House and Senate with amendments offered. This process in the General Assembly known as the Legislative branch requires elected representatives make these decisions which is what our founders intended. This bond money will not receive proper hearings in the state house, will not be voted on by our elected servants we hired to do that oversight.
Did you know that funding funneled through this group (see below) isn’t always used for bridges, roads and sewers but instead is being used to build “multi-use paths”?
That’s where the walk, bike paths come into play (Agenda21). If you’re familiar with the idea of “15 min. cities”, you’ll recognize where this is heading. Eventually, their goal is that we give up our cars. Bike paths are not considered transportation, they are recreational so they don’t qualify for these funds.

Recall the Cincinnati Sustainability Director stated the “hope (is) that we see a movement away from the single passenger vehicle, hopefully a shift away from the personal passenger vehicle – period.”

Is our money actually going toward roads or is it going to install unnecessary, unneeded green, smart traffic lights. Many of these new AI traffic lights are more concerned with green emissions and less concerned about human health and privacy. These traffic lights shoot radar into you (a KNOWN carcinogen) and take digital pictures of your face (facial recognition). Your 4th amendment to the Constitution is being violated!

Oversight of these projects falls under the Ohio Public Works Commissioners (under SCIP) consisting of SEVEN (7) individuals. ALL are un-elected, ALL are unaccountable to you the taxpayer (a classic case of
Taxation without Representation).

Who voted to add this amendment to our Ohio constitution to increase our taxes?
If you live in West Chester, Liberty Township or Middletown, unfortunately Senator George Lang and Representative Thomas Hall both voted in favor.Click HERE for Votes

THE ONLY OTHER ITEM ON THE BALLOT IS MIDPOINTE LIBRARY LEVY!
They have improved the levy from last November (DEFEATED) when it was going to be increased from $3.6MM to 9.3MM… and now it’s been lowered to 5.6MM. It was also going to be a continuous levy (no end in sight) and now it’s 5 yrs so voters can decide again in 5 years. It’s much improved but still an increase in $2 million!

WE DO NOT ENDORSE TAX INCREASES AS ONE OF THE MAIN TENANTS OF THE TEA PARTY IS LOWER TAXES.

MANY FAMILIES IN BUTLER COUNTY ARE ON FIXED INCOMES AND MANY MORE ARE STRUGGLING AND TRYING TO RECOVER FINANCIALLY FROM BIDENOMICS AND HIGH INFLATION.   GROCERIES, ENERGY BILLS, GASOLINE, ETC., ARE STILL VERY EXPENSIVE.

PLEASE CONSIDER THE LOWER INCOME AND FIXED INCOME FAMILIES BEFORE VOTING TO INCREASE THEIR TAX BURDEN EVEN HIGHER.
