OUR JUNE 6TH SPEAKER, JONATHAN BROADBENT


Jonathan is Co-Chair and Board Member of the North Region of
Protect Ohio Children which is a grassroots volunteer organization dedicated
to watching schools and school boards across Ohio. There is a great interview
by Bob Frantz in Feb, 2022, about SEL (Social Emotional Learning) with Jonathan and
Linda Harvey (from Mission America, whom we had as a guest speaker last year).
They discuss how it’s being implemented in our schools.

Central bank digital currencies (CBDCs) can threaten your life and wealth.
John Butler, Investment and Editorial Director at Southbank Investment Research, and Michelle Makori, Lead Anchor and Editor-in-Chief at Kitco News, discuss the rollout of CBDCs, and why they could lead to ‘dystopian’ scenarios playing out in which government control becomes Orwellian. Butler explains why CBDCs could make inflation worse, and offers his thoughts on what a ‘CBDC-defensive’ portfolio would entail. Mark your calendars! VOTE ‘YES’ in the August 8, 2023 Special Election! 
The current voter threshold required to amend the Ohio Constitution is 50%. However, there
will be a ballot issue on the August 8th special election that proposes raising the threshold
to 60%. This means that in order to make changes to the Ohio Constitution in the future,
a higher percentage of voter approval would be required.
Why is this important? 
If conservative voters are successful in passing the August 8th issue to raise the voter
threshold to 60% – it will create a significant hurdle for Pro-abortion activists seeking to
enshrine abortion into the Ohio Constitution.
Petition gatherers supported by the ACLU and Planned Parenthood are actively collecting
signatures to meet the requirement of 400,000 by July 5th. Their goal is to secure a place
on the November ballot for a highly controversial pro-abortion amendment. The
proposed amendment, which includes language that many parents find alarming, is being
described as a “worst nightmare” scenario.
If the pro-abortion ballot initiative passes in November, what will this mean for Ohioans? 
• Strips away all protections for the unborn and allows for painful late-term abortions up through nine months
• Undermines parental rights by allowing minors to receive abortions and undergo
gender transitions without their consent or notification
• It would restrict lawmakers from passing laws related to abortion or parental consent in the future
• Creates a potential safe haven for sex traffickers and predators due to forced abortions occurring without any repercussions or consequences 
“These extreme amendments that are an all-out assault on parental rights and the health
and safety regulations that are in place to protect women and the unborn,” she said. “If they can do this in Ohio, which is a pro-life state, they will try to do it in other states across the country.”

SJR2 PASSES, AUGUST ELECTION

The Ohio Christian Alliance wants to applaud the 62 Republicans who today took a step forward to safeguard Ohio’s Constitution by passing SJR 2, the resolution that will be placed on the August 8th Special Ballot. If passed, it will raise the threshold to pass a constitutional amendment in Ohio to 60 percent.
Chris Long made the following statement, “Today’s vote would not have happened if it were not for the literal thousands of calls, texts, and emails sent to House members, urging them to vote in favor of the constitutional amendment passage increase to sixty percent. We also want to thank Speaker Stephens for bringing the measure to the floor for a vote. Now the real work begins as we start to educate our fellow Ohioans about the August 8th ballot initiative that will help safeguard Ohio’s Constitution against future proposed radical initiatives.”

Statehouse News is reporting that the rules committee has put the 60% Constitution amendment increase on the agenda for 
Wednesday, May 10th Session!
Call Your State Representative and tell them to vote for the 60% amendment increase and to
vote for the amendment to have it on the August Ballot!
