Election

Over the past four years, we have all grown in our understanding of what government should look like, how involved it should be in our lives…  What we thought used to be okay, is no longer okay.

We vote on Tuesday.  This election is a turning point for West Chester.  It is an election that will show if we want the government of the past, or one that has a more sound fiscal footing in the future.

In 2005, I worked for the Lakota Levy.  I helped get it passed.  At the time, it seemed like the right thing to do.  I did it for my kids and the kids in Lakota.

That same year, I voted for Lee Wong.  He seemed like a hard working guy that wanted to make a difference in our community.

How wide my eyes have opened….   I no longer support the school levy.  See below for some great facts about the levy.

I also no longer support Lee Wong.  He talked a good game of fiscal conservatism.  But that’s all it is, talk.  His and Mrs. Stoker’s votes have put this township fiscally at risk.  They continue to vote to spend money on everything under the sun, while our country and our state are economically floundering.

See our Meet the Candidate forum with all four candidates.

You will see why I will be giving my two votes for Trustee to Matt King and Mark Welch.  I hope you will join me!
