A vote will be held TOMORROW, Thursday, July 6, to over-ride Governor Kasich’s line-item veto of the Medicaid expansion freeze passed by both the Ohio House and Ohio Senate.
Medicaid is for the elderly, the disabled, and children, and it needs to stay that way. Ohio is $8 billion over budget, and our governor wants to add a hundred thousand more people to the list. The Tax-payers should not be burdened paying bills for able-bodied, non-working Ohioans.
There are Republicans in offices who might want to put their own careers ahead of the people of Ohio.
Some Ohio House and Ohio Senate members have reached their term limits. Gov. Kasich could appoint them to other government positions. Some are running for state offices and others are friends of Gov. Kasich. These people might think it would profit them personally to vote with the governor for personal reasons. We the people did not vote them into office to further their own careers. They are there to represent the citizens of this state.
These are the representatives who may have a conflict of interest. We don’t know how they will vote, but it would be good to call them and request that they vote for the Ohio taxpayers, and against the governor’s veto. IF YOU CAN, CALL TONIGHT AND LEAVE A MESSAGE.
